Literature Text

We were happy.
Then you cast
me aside like
an old phone.
Is that all
I was to
you? I thought
you cared for
me. Obviously not.
You played with
my heart like
a sad, perverted
puppeteer. Then you
threw me aside.
I was left
alone in the
dark space with
only my heart
for company. Nursing
it back to
health, after you
broke it. Broke
it like you
would break a
plate. You cared
less for me
than you would
for a toy.
I was nothing
in your eyes.
I am still
nothing, but no
longer in your
eyes. No one
will ever see
this face again.
Because of you.
a true story of a friend of mine, except she didnt commit suicide, which was implied in the poem
